Established in 1986, The Friends of Killarney Park is a non-profit,
charitable organization (Canadian Reg. #0731729-52-19) that operates under
a co-operative agreement with The Ministry of Natural Resources.
The Friends support the goals of Killarney Provincial Park and its
mandate for protection, preservation, education, recreation and interpretive
programs relating to the natural, scientific, historic and cultural resources
of the park.

Annual membership fees are: $10. per individual or $20. per family
-
Membership includes:

a 15% discount at the education book store "The Outpost" -- 2
locations (George Lake and Bell Lake)

"Paddles and Trails," a Friends of Killarney Park quarterly newsletter
-
an invitation to participate in Friends' special events and educational
programs
-
an opportunity to provide input on future Friends of Killarney Park
projects
-
an opportunity to become involved in the Friends' Board of Directors
and various committees

In-person, fax, and phone-in reservations can no
longer be made at individual parks. Reservations can be made
up to five months in advance, 365 days a year, via the above phone line
or reservation web site.
When reserving a campsite, you will be asked for the following
information:
-
park name
-
arrival/departure dates
-
type of site required...
-
if campground: hydro, tent, or trailer and which
site number or area of George Lake Campground you prefer
-
if interior: the name of the access point you will
use to enter the interior
-
if backpacking: the site number you wish to camp
at each night of your trip (from park interior map)
-
if canoe-camping: the name of the lake you wish to camp
on each night of your trip
-
your name, address, postal code, telephone number
-
number in your party
-
method of payment (i.e. credit card number and expiry date)
-
there is a $9.00 non-refundable fee for making a reservation, payable
when you reserve
-
campground fees must be paid in full, within 14 days of making a reservation
-
interior fees are payable upon arrival at the park
-
cancellations and changes may be made up to 24 hours prior to arrival,
by calling the central reservations phone line, and are subject to a $6.00
fee
