Swan Sculpture

Gordon's desire that he be cremated and that his ashes be interred in Scotland meant that there would be no cemetery or tombstone to visit, should family and friends in Canada wish to go and pay their respects.  To compensate for that, Margaret arranged to have Gordon's name engraved on a memorial pylon, at the foot of a giant Trumpeter Swan sculpture, on the waterfront, in Midland, Ontario.  Midland was very special to Gordon and Margaret; they were married in a park in that town and dined several times at a restaurant that is within view of the sculpture.
